Big Mac, Super-Sized, Feb. 12

Students at McAllister Intermediate who met their reading points in the Big Mac Reading Incentive Program partied on Feb. 12 at the "Big Mac Super Sized" celebration in the school's gym.
Approximately 120 students met the reading challenge and therefore were invited to the party, where they rotated in groups among six stations: "Tat-for-Tat Tattoo" face-painting station; "Cupid Relay" sack race; "Bee Mine" pin the heart on the bee; "The Last Cupid Sitting" musical chairs; "Arms of Love" ring toss; "Love of Art Booth" art creation station. The gym and activity stations were decorated in the Valentine's Day theme.
Wandalyn Harris, Margaret Rickman, Antoinette Evans, Janie Galvan, Eileen Petrucha, Paula Morgan, Stacey Goodman, Nichole Ross and other staff helped get the gym ready, games set up, reading points calculated, and HEB-donated cookies packaged.
Carla Davis's class even penned a motivational rap to get the students excited about the event.
