Maintenance Dept. Recognizes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BCISD encouraged the community to "wear pink" at the home varsity football game on Oct. 16 versus Foster. BCISD Maintenance Supervisor Carter Anderson donated pink paint in honor of his sister who passed away from breast cancer, and BCISD Grounds Supervisor C.L. Cook and his crew used the paint to repaint the field numbers for the game.
In addition, the BCHS Student Council also showed their support by giving out pink ribbons at the game.
Financial donations were collected at the gates to benefit cancer research at the UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Pictured are BCISD Grounds Crew staffer Phil Salazar and BCISD Maintenance Supervisor Carter Anderson getting ready to paint the BCISD Memorial Stadium field numbers pink in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Also helping with the project are grounds crew Dolores Ramirez, Roberto Trevino, Agustin Peralta, and Gorge Becerra.
