Welcome, Bay City, Texas!

Bay City, "Gateway to the Great Outdoors", is located along the Colorado river, just 20 miles from the Gulf Coast.  Our residents take advantage of the many activities including the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center, golfing, kayaking, fishing, and enjoying several area parks.

Bay City also takes great pride in its school district and has established a great partnership with its schools. The city recognizes the important role its school district plays in helping families raise healthy, well-functioning, and successful children.
