 Nightly Reading

Build Stamina - Each student should be reading from a chapter book for at least 30 minutes each night.   This will help build stamina for the four reading passages that are on the TAKS Test.

Ask Questions for Comprehension - Who is the main character? What is the setting (time/place)? What are some of the events taking place?  Can you put the events in order? What is the problem/conflict in the story?  What is the solution?  What is the main idea?  Can you retell the story by giving a summary?  Are their any facts or opinions?
