Bay City ISD will begin using Ascender Parent Portal to allow parents/guardians to register their current BCISD students online. Parents may log in to their parent portal account to complete the process before August. Each student must be registered for the 2020-2021 school year. Your child’s portal id was mailed to you. if you do not already have an account created, you must set this up first.
Requirements needed to register online are as follows:
- Each student being registered must be a returning student.
- A computer with internet access (if you don't have access to a computer, BCISD will allow you to complete your student's online registration in our campus libraries)
- An Ascender Parent Portal account which includes a login/password
Parent portal link:
https://ascenderportal.esc3.net/ParentPortal/login?distid=158901
(Please call the campus if you have forgotten your username/password)
- A valid email address for the parent/guardian completing the process.
All data changes submitted via Ascender Parent Portal must be reviewed by the campus before the student’s record is updated.
If a submitted change is rejected, you will be notified by email. The email message should inform you why a particular change was rejected and what to do. Contact the student’s campus for more information.

Troubleshooting tip:
The email address in our TxEIS system that you used to register last year, MUST match the email address you used to create your Parent Portal account.
If you do not have a registration button, or you have it and it is faded and you cannot click, that is likely to be the reason why. -
Troubleshooting
1. The email address in our TxEIS system that you used to register last year, MUST match the email address you used to create your Parent Portal account.
If you do not have a registration button, or you have it and it is faded and you cannot click, that is likely to be the reason why.2. If parents log in to their parent portal account and do not have the option to complete registration, this means we do not have the correct email on file for them in TxEIS. Contact your campus for help.
3. When parents are trying to link their students to their parent portal account, their portal id is not the same as the student id. Contact your school for help.
4. If parents forget their log in username or password, email lmartinez@baycityisd.org
