The BCHS Theatre Department has competed deep in the UIL One Act Play competition for the last 5 years, playing in 3 state championships and two regional finals.
Auditions for this year’s One Act Play begin tonight!
Everyone who is interested is invited to attend the open auditions tonight in the Theatre from 6-8 PM and Thursday night from 6-8 PM.
You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time or have been in previous shows to attend Auditions. The ONe Act Play includes non speaking roles and supporting roles, including African American and Latino males and females.
And BREAKING NEWS: This year, we will be filming a documentary following the One Act Play company all season.

Last day to sign up for ASVAB Testing is Monday, January 27th. So be sure to get signed up with Mrs. Jernigan in Student Services. If you are interested in the military, sign up...or if you just want to see what careers match with your interests and strengths, sign up. If you signed up forSaturday's TSI Session, be sure to be in the library by 8:50am. Bring your ID. If you are a TSI first timer, be sure to take complete the Pre-Assessment Activity. HOSA will host the blood drive on January 30th in the donor coach outside of the school in the student parking area. Please pick up permissions slips by Mrs. Gilbert's door (Room A229) or by the attendance office (Mrs. Joines). Forms are due by Monday, January 27th. HOSA will be hosting the blood drive in honor of Angel Rodriguez. There is currently a shortage of blood supply at hospitals in the medical center, so any person who is eligible to donate, it would be greatly appreciated. Also note, that if you are a senior, you must donate twice in order to receive an honor cord, or have four adults (no staff members at BCHS) to serve in your place. If there are any questions, please see any HOSA officer or Mrs. Gilbert in room A229. There will be an information meeting about the EMT class for next school year on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:00 PM in room A118. Parents are encouraged to attend, as there will be an abundance of information, including program registration packets. This is a dual-credit course and credit is earned through WCJC.

Attention Juniors who are Bay City Scholars --
A letter was mailed home to all Junior Bay City Scholars regarding off-campus lunch privileges this second semester. You are to return the permission form to Mrs. Jernigan in Student Services. If you did not get a letter in the mail, check in Student Services to see if your name is on the Junior Bay City Scholars list.
You must have a parent permission form on file in order to leave campus for lunch. You also most have placed the Bay City Scholars sticker on the back of your Student ID. You can pick up your sticker this Friday during lunch in the cafeteria from Allison Sliva with BCISD Communications. Reminder too that all Bay City Scholars get free admission into BCISD athletic events -- just show your ID with your Scholars sticker.

Junior Bay City Scholars who want to be able to leave campus during lunch, listen up! You must turn in a parent permission form that was mailed home last week. Then, go to the cafeteria this Friday with your ID Badge during lunch, to pick up your Bay City Scholars sticker. You must have the sticker placed on the back of your ID Badge. The sticker will allow you free entrance into BCISD athletic events. The list of students who have turned in their parent permission forms is given to all BCHS administrators and the police department. New Scholarships are in! Including the Tenaris Merit and Student of the Year Scholarships!
