The Career and Technology Education (CTE) program at Bay City ISD provides our students with the opportunity to receive training and real world experiences that will help prepare them for post-secondary success. Bay City High School Principles of Applied Engineering Class, taught by Daniel Tinus, created a prop for the BCHS Dungeoneers’ production of the musical Willy Wonka in November 2018. During construction of the prop, which was a faux chewing-gum producing machine, the students learned about gear ratios and inputted their data into AUTOCAD. Additionally, the students learned how to wire. The entire prop cost only $15 as the students recycled materials they already had in their shop.Author:Length:
