• Substitute Teaching in BCISD

Substitutes are not substitutes to learning, they allow teachers time for training, special events, or when they are under the weather. We want our students getting the best education possible. If you think that you would like to be a substitute for us you must: complete an application, submit a transcript, provide a copy of your social security card and driver's license, submit fingerprint record, attend a training session, and be available to substitute when contacted. State law requires fingerprinting of substitutes.

Substitutes are grouped into four classes and paid accordingly.

     Class I

    $60.00 per day/*$90.00 per day
