    Aug. 13, 2019 update:
The construction of the new Tenie Holmes is ongoing and will continue into the new school year. The good news is that we are starting school in the new building; however, we will still be finishing parts of the interior after school starts on Aug. 26th. Workers will not be in the building while school is in session.
The main struggle willl be parking and traffic flow.

Week of Aug. 19th -- Letters go home listing your child's 1st period teacher. This is the teacher where your child will start each day. Morning drop-off & afternoon pick-up information will be in the letter. PLEASE BE FLEXIBLE as traffic plans might be altered due to weather impacts on construction timeline.

Meet the Teacher is Sept. 10th, 6-7 PM. You will meet your child's teachers then and get to see the new school! (This date is new/revised.) The date has been moved back to allow the contractors more time to complete the interior of the building.

Aug. 26th, 1st day of school -- Parents should drop off their children. Do not plan on parking and walking your child to class, as there will be little to no available parking and we need to keep cars moving and make way for buses.  We will have lots of staff on hand to direct students to the gym and cafeteria where they will meet their first period teachers and immediately gather with their first period classmates. Your children will be well-taken care of.
You can put their school supplies inside their backpacks - we have a much smaller supply list this year. You may deliver their supplies over the course of several days -- do not worry about sending all supplies on the first day, please.
