Three Bay City High School students have earned the prestigious distinction of being named AP Scholars for 2020.
The College Board has recognized BCHS 2020 graduates Isaiah L and Cecilia S as well as incoming BCHS senior 2021 Michael M as having demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on AP (Advanced Placement) Exams.
This academic distinction is for students who have received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
“This year, our AP students and teachers were truly challenged not only by the rigor of the AP curriculum, but also when the school year was abruptly interrupted with the COVID-19 pandemic and they had to persist with virtual learning,” said BCHS Academic Dean Mary Lynn Mosier Flores. “ We urged our teachers and students to maintain the focus on meeting academic goals to prepare for college-level coursework and earning college credit. Our AP Scholars and other students who passed their AP exams have truly demonstrated diligence and met those goals. We are so excited about their accomplishments and the advanced academic opportunities that we offer for Bay City High School students.”
