BCHS welcomes 16 young women into POWER SET program

Bay City High School welcomed 16 new members into the POWER SET organization during an induction event October 22nd at BCHS. POWER SET is Powerful Opportunities for Women Eager and Ready for Science, Engineering and Technology.

The new members are: Vannessa C, Jennifer M, Alexandra C, Magda N, Julianne F, Mallory G, Brittany O, Anna H, Gema O, Alex J, Isabella R, Karime M, Kristianna S, Madison M, Alejandra V, and Baylee W.

The program seeks to provide educational tools and essential support to young women to pursue educational and professional opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Members enjoy mentoring by industry professionals, visit local industries, job shadow, participate in professional development, visit colleges, participate in community service, hear from guest speakers, have scholarship opportunities and mentor middle school students.
